Open Series – Women

The Women’s Nurse Next Door – Hobart East Open Series is an Order of Merit Multi-Event Competition coordinated by Golf Southern Tasmania for female amateur golfers in Tasmania.  Events are played across many of the Golf Southern Tasmania Clubs.

The Women’s Nurse Next Door – Hobart East Open Series will provide a series of open events that are inclusive of all female golfers whilst providing a competitive format for higher level golfers.  It will also provide a selection process for the Southern Tasmania North vs South Plate Team.  The Women’s Nurse Next Door – Hobart East Open Series will have a nett division and a gross division.  It will commence with the first Event after the preceding North vs South Plate and finishes with the final event before the North vs South Plate.   The 26/27 season will commence with the Royal Hobart Cup on 23 August 2025 (tbc) and conclude with the Southern Open on 20-21 February 2027. 

The Top 6 Players from Golf Southern Tasmania and Southern Country clubs on the Gross Leaderboard after the final event will gain automatic selection into the Southern Tasmania North vs South Plate Team with the remaining four picks selected at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

The Top 2 players on the Gross Leaderboard after the final event will win a trip interstate to compete in a National Order of Merit Event (Portsea Open tbc)

The Top 2 Players on the Nett Leaderboard after the final event will win a social golf prize tbc.
